This site is now hosted by DREAMHOST, where I just got a great sounding (and working) hosting plan. It has 20 gb disk space, unlimited domains to host and - which I like most - an SSH Access;-)
This is also the time to say goodbye to HostPoint, which was my former hosting provider. I actually wanted to change to a new hosting provider in March, but since DREAMHOST had some good specials going on, I thought it was worth to change earlier!
So let me know if you see this! Your comment could be THE FIRST on the new server! AND - if there are comments from enough people (let’s say: More than ten), I will consider giving away something to one of them, OK?

José, DREAMHOST accepts, besides major credit cards, payment through gift certificates or paypal.com or even by money order. So it seems to be possible to just mail them what they need. Doesn’t sound very secure to me, but it still might work

mein Anliegen hat zwar nix mit Webhosting o. ä. zu tun, aber ich hoffe mal Du bist kompetender Ansprechpartner für folgendes:
Wie kann man beim Malaria Control Project (Alpha Test) zwecks verteiltem Rechnen mitmachen bzw. wann seid ihr dort über die Alphaphase hinaus?
Momentan ist ja die Accountanlage gesperrt. Leider ist auf Africa@home nicht allzuviel in Erfahrung zu bringen.
Auf eine aufschlussreiche Antwort deinerseits würde ich mich sehr freuen.

As for me, I got hooked up with the project by Ben Segal during the WSIS in Tunis, which was in last November. I guess I can’t / shouldn’t invite other users, since I’m only a tester and not an admin.
Unfortunately I’m not what you probably would call a ‘competent person to turn to’
In the forums, I found a kind of diplomatic answer to your question about the end of the alpha phase: Right now, there were still some work units invalid, which had to be solved before going into Beta; one also would want to migrate to the final server.
I will post on this blog when the Beta Phase starts, OK? So stay tuned!
