No more dinner in the dark; what now?

After the overwhelming succes of the Blinde Insel (The Blind Island) project, the crew of the Grossen Halle association has decided to spontaneously do three additional nights of serving dinner in the dark. But even with those, on March 30th, it will be the last time (this year at least) where one gets to enjoy that culinary experience in the dark. As for me, I did have my last Island shift on last Saturday already; all that remains for me to do is to say thank you all of you who took the risk letting me be their waiter throughout one night.

But now, what are we going to do with those who never got to enjoy to be on our limited guest list at all?

For those cases, I thought I would introduce you to the Illusorialand. This is the museum for optical illusions and something like the stronghold of the artist Sandro Del Prete. It is situated in the town of Ittigen, kinda far off any tourists (Here you can find a map) and thus hardly known to anyone. But still, it is open daily - between Sundays and Fridays from 2-5 pm and on Saturdays from 2-4 pm (of course, you can request tours at other times too).

Part of the museum is the project Castel Nero, the Castle In The Dark. Here, everyone who is willing to do so gets to visit an old castle and its surroundings. This experience will take about 20 minutes and all you need it courage, openness as well as the readiness to offer your eyes a break and trust in your other senses for a while.

As I am also a member of the charming Castel Nero Guides Team, I would of course appreciate if you would visit me in Ittigen one day.

Let me, just as a suggestion, give you my next Dates on which I am working there:
